Enable USB Debugging on Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge/S8/S8 Plus

The method of enabling USB debugging on a Samsung Galaxy S7 or S8 is various according to different Android OS the phone is running. Here in this article, we will show you how to open USB debugging mode on Galaxy S7/S8 running on Android 7.0 and other versions.

Part 1: For Samsung Galaxy S8/S8 Plus Running on Android 7.0

Step 1 : Turn on your Samsung Galaxy S8/S8 Plus, go to "Settings" and choose "About Phone".

Step 2 : Select "Software information" and scroll down the screen to tap "Build number" several times until you see a message that says "Developer mode has been enabled".

Step 3: Select on the Back button and you can see the Developer options menu under Settings.

Step 4: Choose "Developer options".

Step 5: Slide the "USB debugging" button to "On".

Once you have done all these steps above, you have successfully debugged your Samsung Galaxy S8/S8 Plus. Next time when you connect your Samsung Galaxy S8 phone to computer via a USB cable, you will see a messages saying "Allow USB Debugging?", then, just click "OK".

Part 2: For Samsung Galaxy S7/S8 Running on Other Android OS Versions

Step 1 : Turn on your Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge/S8/S8 Plus and go to "Application" to open Settings option.

Step 2: Scroll down to select "About phone" -> "Software Info".

Step 3: Scroll down the screen and tap Build number several times until you see a message that says "Developer mode has been enabled".

Step 4: Select on the Back button and then you will see the Developer options menu appears under Settings.

Step 5: Select Developer options.

Step 6: Slide the "USB debugging" button to "On".

Once you have done all these steps above, you have successfully debugged your Samsung Galaxy S8/S8 Plus. Next time when you connect your Samsung Galaxy S8 phone to computer via a USB cable, you will see a messages saying "Allow USB Debugging?", then, just click "OK".
