How to Recover Deleted Photos & Videos from Galaxy Nexus?
Are you a photo-taking lover? Do you enjoy taking photos in different places to record your daily life? Do you love taking pictures of what you think as beautiful and impressive? Or do you like saving nice photos? How about videos? Are you keen on making videos clips? Or do you love downloading ones from the Internet to watch in your spare time? If the answer is yes, I believe you already have lots of photos and videos stored on your phone. Sometimes I lose my photos and videos, for I delete them by mistake, my phone is attacked by unknown viruses, or the memory card is accidentally formatted when connected to the computer. I bet many of you have the same experience. There’s no doubt that you’ll get mad when deleting your photos or videos wrongly under the circumstances that you haven’t transferred them to the computer, or haven’t made any backups.
In fact, when you delete a file, the system just has its index deleted. Recovery ways are ones giving indexes to the data which can be restored. If there’re new data coming in, needing to occupy the space, the system will erase the original data and replace them with the new data. If there aren’t any new data, the original file will still stay in its original place. Thus deleted data will be kept on the phone until they’re covered by new data. Then if you want to recover your data, remember it’s important to ensure that you don’t take, make, or save any new photos and videos. Stop having new ones produced before it’s too late. By recovering them, you’ll be able to make backups of them, transfer them to the computer or copy them to the SD card.
Wrong deletion of your photos and videos on your mobile phone will no longer be an upsetting matter, since there’s a useful tool that can help you recover them from Galaxy Nexus, which’s Coolmuster Android Data Recovery (for all Windows versions) or Coolmuster Android Data Recovery for Mac. Steps to Retrieve Deleted Movies & Photos from Galaxy Nexus
Step 1. Connect your Galaxy Nexus to computer
First of all, connect your Galaxy Nexus to the computer with a USB cable and launch the installed Coolmuster recovery software. Once the connection is successful, the software will automatically detect your device and show it, along with its parameter information on the program interface.
Step 2. Enable USB Debugging Mode on your device
Next, we need to enable USB debugging on the connected Galaxy Nexus. The activated USB debugging is used for synchronizing data between your device and computer. If you have already opened the USB debugging, you can move to the next step. If not, you need to follow the steps below to enable USB debugging mode on your Android phone.
For Android 2.3 or older, Go: "Settings" < Click "Applications" < Click "Development" < Check "USB debugging".
For Android 3.0 to 4.1: Enter "Settings" < Click "Developer options" < Check "USB debugging".
For Android 4.2 or newer: Enter "Settings" < Click "About Phone" < Tap "Build number" for several times until getting a note "You are under developer mode" < Back to "Settings" < Click "Developer options" < Check "USB debugging"
Step 3. Scan for the lost photos & videos on your phone
Once the USB debugging mode has been enabled successfully on your phone, click "Allow" on your phone to allow the program super user authorization when an Superuser Request pops up. Then, the launched program will automatically detect your phone and scan them deeply. When the scan finishes, all the contained files in your phone will be displayed in clear categories, including your lost photos and videos.
Step 4. Preview and recover the target files selectively
Preview the scanned out files one by one and check those you need to recover. Then, you can click on the “Recover” button, choose an output location for saving the recovered files and then the recovery process will begin at once. You'd better choose another place on your computer or external storage device as the output location instead of the phone where you lost them before, for safety consideration.
