To enable USB debugging on Samsung devices, please refer to the corresponding instructions below according to your phone models.
*(Works on Galaxy S10/S20/S21/S22/S23+, Z Fold/Flip series, A-series, etc.)*
Step 1. Go to "Settings" on your phone.
(1) If you can find "Developer options", please skip to the next step.
(2) If you can not find "Developer options", please go to "About phone" > "Software information" > Tap "Build number" 7 times in rapid succession. Then back to the Settings page, you will find "Developer options" here.
(3) On Android 12+, you may need to enter your PIN, password, or pattern.
Step 2. Tap "Developer options" > turn on "Developer options" and "USB debugging" > tap "OK" when "Allow USB debugging?" prompt pops up.
For Android 6.0 and above, please continue to tap "USB Configuration" and select "MTP (Media Transfer Protocol)". If MTP option doesn't work, try "RNDIS (USB Ethernet)", "Audio Source" or "MIDI" instead.
For Android 12+ (One UI 4/5/6)
(1) Extra security step: You may need to enter your lock screen PIN when enabling Developer Options.
(2) Recommended: Enable "Disable adb authorization timeout" in Developer options to prevent frequent re-authorizations.
For All Versions
(1) First-time connection? Swipe down → Tap USB charging this device → Select File transfer (MTP).
(2) Security best practices:
* Only enable USB debugging when needed.
* Never allow "Always allow from this computer" on public/shared PCs.
* Revoke authorizations when done: Developer options → Revoke USB debugging authorizations.
